Vets bills
We had the vet bill come through the door on Monday, for when Sun left us.
£142.50.
We were absolutely shocked, to say the least. Included in the invoice were:
- An injection the vet gave without asking our consent first
- An oral medicine we later returned
- Euthanisation
- Cremation
- Consultation
We discussed our options, and went to the vets to talk to someone about the high cost. Whilst waiting to see someone, the vet practise must have taken over £300 from what we overheard in the waiting room.
We had it out with the vet - or rather Maxi did (I’m ever so proud of her!) - and the vet took reduced the invoice by nearly £100!
It just goes to show that some companies will try to take money off you any which way they can, and if you stand up and say “no” they may well do something about it.
So next time you get an invoice for something that seems a little high, then do something about it. I know we certainly will do from now on!
