Speeding appeal leaves motorist with £15,000 court... →
A motorist who challenged a £60 speeding fine is now facing a legal bill of £15,000 after her appeal was rejected by a judge. Seems a little harsh to me, but serves them right for trying to get out of paying the fine in the first place!

WatchWatch
Radiohead - Nude, as played by old computer hardware. Awesome. Give it a minute or two to kick in though, because it does get off to a slow start, but it’s fully worth it.

Since when did Yahoo become a sinking ship?
It seems like the big cheeses at Yahoo’s various aquistions are jumping ship lately - all one after the other. Stewart Butterfield, creator of Flickr, has jumped. Joshua Schacter, creator of Delicious, has jumped. And Jeremy Zawodny, a lead developer, jumped last month. And it seems more resignations are likely.

Petrol
I’m fed up of everyone going on about petrol this and petrol that. Isn’t it about time that alternative fuel is used across the board, totally replacing fossil fuels? Or even a total reshake of the public transport system, including slashing rail fairs and running trains on alternative fuels. The whole “war on terror” in Iraq is so clearly to bring “peace” to...

Google serving Javascript frameworks →
Google are now serving popular Javascript frameworks, such as jQuery and Prototype. Why is this a big deal?  Well, a few reasons: Speed. Google’s servers are faster than yours. Cache. A client only downloads the framework once from Google. From then on, all other sites that use it will be from the cache. But it may be a bad thing, because it could be another way Google is tracking how...
